Adriane Pippins
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Adriane holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Texas State University, and over the course of 15 years, she provided care and therapeutic treatment to children and adolescents, and their families in settings including in-home, schools, shelters, and through the child welfare system. At the beginning of 2021, Adriane transitioned to private practice where she has found tremendous joy and fulfillment in her clinical work with young adult and adult clients. Adriane believes that meeting individuals where they are and building relationships are fundamental to the therapeutic process. Through collaboration and drawing on individual strengths, Adriane guides and empowers her clients to increase self-awareness, to process and release trauma and other harmful thoughts and behaviors, and to achieve desired goals.
In her practice at Empowered Hearts Counseling, Adriane adopts concepts from a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Family Systems. In her personal life Adriane loves to explore the outdoors, practice yoga, sing, dance, and travel.
